My Thoughts on the Crisis in Haiti
When I look at the disaster in Haiti, I can’t help but feel the exact way I felt when disaster struck my home state a few years ago. Women and children crying. Families helpless. A culture turned upside down. Luckily our president is compassionate and God-fearing and has offered a helping hand to this nation. As we always do, most Americans will do everything we can to alleviate some of this pain. As for the others like Pat Robertson and Rush Limbaugh who are trying to capitalize off of the tragedy, shame on you!
Ever since I learned of the Haitian Revolution in History class, this nation has always had a special place in my heart. We have a responsibility as human beings to assist our neighbor in times of despair. Let us all do our part to help them restore some sense of normalcy. May God bless them!
